A truly great speyside, the first time you taste this dram,  you'll fell like your 18 again on your first date and the world is yours for the taking. 

Big fruity nose with a great sexy body, with a long finish that just doesn't want to end, nor do you want it too.

Glen – 89

On of my favorite Speysides. It offers a wonderful smooth complexity and is one I always recommend. This is the dram I pour for company who are new to Scotch, they always come away impressed. Extremely flavorful and deep. A great elegant Speyside.

Nose: Carmel, honey, toasted almonds (an exceptional nose)
Body: Rich, creamy
Finish: Sweet, toasted almonds, medium length

Highly recommended.

Glen – 74

This dram is replacing the Lognmorn 15 year old expression. The first thing that hits you  with the new 16 year old is the updated packaging. The bottle has a catchy leather strap  around the base and metal band around the neck. Although different, the bottle seems almost too desperate for attention. But who cares about packaging, what’s in the bottle matters most, right? The new 16 year old expression was mostly malt with a sharp unbalanced finish. It wasn’t a bad dram but it didn’t come close to the dram it’s replacing. It does get better as it stays in the glass and hints of vanilla and oak come through but not enough to compete with the all of the malt. The 15 year old was the type of dram you opened with friends and no one left until the bottle was empty. I’m said to  say this updated version falls way short.

Nose: Clean, soft, malt, oak and vanilla
Body: Medium mouth feel, malty
Finish: Long and unpleasantly sharp, all malt

Unfortunately, the outside of the bottle is more impressive then what’s under the cork. If you’re a Longmorn fan try to horde the 15 year before all stock is gone.
